Refuse vehicle for the separate collection of glass refuse, for example white glass, green glass and brown glass, having a loading space which is subdivided into a plurality of compartments. The separate compartments (I, II, III) can be served optionally by moving guide elements, and the loading apparatus, irrespective of the goods to be loaded at any one time, always has the same loading path leading to the upper side of the loading space, and the guide elements, e.g. flaps, conveying belts, worms and the like, are arranged on the upper side thereof. Depending on the position or direction of movement of the guide elements, the common loading path opens into the selected compartment, there being provided directly downstream of the guide elements (8) additional guide elements (11), of which the pivot axes and/or directions of movement are generally located askew with respect to the primary guide elements (8). The vehicle can also be used for the collection of any other types of refuse.
