PURPOSE:To obtain a resin composition which is excellent in self-extinguishing property, mechanical strength, etc., and does not drip upon burning by mixing a specific resin composition with a specific toughened resin, a flame retardant, and a flame retardant aid in given amounts. CONSTITUTION:This resin composition comprises 100 pts.wt. styrene resin composition (a), 0.05-30 pts.wt. polyorganosiloxane-toughened resin obtained by polymerizing 95-10 pts.wt. vinyl monomer in the presence of 5-90 pts.wt. polyorganosiloxane, 0.5-30 pts.wt. flame retardant, and 0-20 pts.wt. flame retardant aid. The composition (a) consists of at least either of a rubber-toughened resin obtained by polymerizing 95-30 pts.wt. monomer mixture (A) consisting of 50-100wt.% aromatic vinyl monomer (e.g. styrene) and 50-0wt.% one or more monomers selected from vinyl cyanide monomers, (meth)acrylic esters, maleic anhydride, and maleimide monomers (e.g. acrylonitrile) in the presence of 5-70 pts.wt. rubbery polymer (e.g. polybutadiene) and a copolymer obtained by polymerizing the mixture (A). |
