PURPOSE:To reduce the operational load on an operator and to shorten the time for diagnosis by causing a range gate to automatically track a measuring position. CONSTITUTION:An electronic scanning portion 12, a mixer 20, a low-pass filter 22, an MTI computing portion 23 and a spectrum Doppler computing portion 30 are connected to the respective portions of a probe 11. The electronic scanning portion 12 and the spectrum Doppler computing portion 30 are connected to a display 16 at their respective output sides via a multiplexer 14 and a D/A converter 15. The MTI computing portion 23 is connected to the multiplexor 14 on its output side via a second DSC 24 and a color information converter 25. A range gate locating circuit 31 is connected to a control panel 32 and the electronic scanning portion 12 and is connected to a first DSI 13 via a display circuit 65. The locating circuit 31 sets a range gate to the center position or a blood flow range within an area concerned and, when the range gate deviates, moves the gate position to the nearest among blood flow center positions on a raster. |
