PURPOSE:To form a lightweight tool for firing adaptable for various material to be fired by containing an alumina/silica based ceramic fiber and successively laminating a specific zirconia and a noble metal to coat the surface in contact with the material to be fired. CONSTITUTION:The tool for firing is formed by using a base material containing the alumina/silica-based ceramic fiber, applying a zirconia made by combining a yttria or a calcia on at least the surface in contact with the material to be fired and further successively laminating the noble metal thereon. Or the tool for firing is formed by applying an alumina >=95wt.% in purity on at least the surface in contact with the material to be fired and applying the noble metal thereon. In this way, the tool for firing is excellently fired without allowing the material to be fired to react with the tool for firing by being coated with zirconia or aluminous oxide as a barrier layer. And the thermal shock resistance and workability are excellent by being constituted of a lightweight body enhanced in the void volume of the base material. |
