PURPOSE:To provide a heat transfer sheet and its detecting device which are constituted so that data indicating the number of printing times of a large number of time printing heat transfer sheet are recorded on the large number of time printing heat transfer sheet itself and the data of the recorded printing number of times are made detectable on the heat transfer printer. CONSTITUTION:A sheet 102 possessing a heat sensitive color development layer constitutes a heat transfer sheet provided on at least one side end of a large number of time printing heat transfer sheet 101 and a function supporting the detection of the number of printing times is added when need arises.
