PURPOSE:To efficiently hold the qualities, such as color and flesh quality, of a cuttlefish excellent in appearance and texture in a fresh state by subjecting the cuttlefish to an electric current-applying treatment. CONSTITUTION:An electric current-applying treatment e.g. using an electric current of 100-500mA for 1-10min is subjected to the body of a cuttlefish to prevent the change in the color of its body surface and the softening of its flesh quality, maintain its brown color and elastic flesh quality, and hold its qualities. The cuttlefish may preferably be frozen. |
