The present invention provides an improved bottle opener (10) incorporated on a key having a head (11) and a body (12). The head has a U-shaped cutout (13) at a downward angle in the range of about 30 degrees to about 60 degrees with fulcrum and lifting edges (15 and 17) respectively. The cutout (13) has a width of about -5 % to about +8 % that of the thickness of a bottle cap. The fulcrum edge (17) has a radius at the cutout opening that engages the top of a bottle cap without puncturing it. The lifting edge (15) passes beneath the rim of the bottle cap, and the body (12) is long enough to provide leverage sufficient to remove the bottle cap. |
