PURPOSE:To provide a rubber compsn. which gives rubber goods such as a conveyer belt and a rubber screen having an improved effect of preventing sludge or powder from depositing thereon, by blending at least one member selected from among silicone compd., polyether plasticizers and metal salts of fatty acids with raw rubber. CONSTITUTION:At least one member selected from among greasy or oily silicone compds. of the formula (wherein R, R' are each a residue of a 1-8C hydrocar bon; n is 3-2500), polyether plasticizers and metal salts of fatty acids is blended with raw rubber. Said silicone compd. may be used either alone (e.g. polydimethylsiloxane) or as a mixture of two or more compds. where R, R' and n are different. Examples of the polyether plasticizers are liquid or greasy polyoxymethylene or polyoxyethylene having an MW of 100 or above. Examples of the metal salts of the fatty acids are zinc, calcium or magnesium salt of C5-24 fatty acids (e.g. caprylic and stearic acids). They may be used either alone or as a mixture of two or more of them. |
