<p>The invention relates to the combination of a support (15, 16) for graphical and/or alphanumeric characters defined by (silk) screen printing, and an optical waveguide plate (6) which are placed on top of one another. The plate (6) is made of poly(methyl methacrylate) and loaded with fluorescent pigments in order to be illuminated (3) via its face (11) lying opposite the support (15, 16) and, on the side turned towards the support (15, 16), it is fashioned in accordance with an ornamental effect which is intended to be given.
