PURPOSE:To provide a ceramic lapping plate having a pattern on which impurities are not deposited and which is not worn off by mechanical abrasion or projected from the surface. CONSTITUTION:(1) The surface of a ceramic plate is recessed, the recess is filled with a vitreous ceramic or metal to form a pattern, and a patterned ceramic lapping plate with the surface of the recess is flush with the original plate surface. Otherwise, (2) the ceramic plate surface is recessed, the bottom is patterned with characters or symbols, the recess is filled with vitreous ceramic or resin, and a patterned ceramic lapping plate is obtained with the surface of the recess flush with the original plate surface. A ceramic lapping plate having a pattern on which impurities are not deposited, which is not projected and excellent in wear resistance is obtained in this way. The pattern can be colored or made highly heat resistant. |
