Device which consists of a shaft 1 provided at one of its ends with an annular flange 2, while at the opposite end is coupled an axial retaining ring for a roller spool 4 which is screwed into said shaft 1. Also mounted on said shaft is a sliding bush 6 that is coupled externally on a free wheel bearing 8 encased in a fixed frame of the blind. The bush 6 extends via its inner edge in a flange 10 until it abuts axially against the spool 4, with the interposition of a disc 11. It is in contact via its outer edge with an axial pressure washer 12 which bears on the annular flange 2. When the shaft 1 is turned in the direction in which it is screwed into the roller spool 4, the blind is raised, while when it is turned in the opposite direction, the blind is lowered. The blind remains immobilized in any position due to its own weight which creates a 'moment' on the spool that is transmitted to the bush 6, which will remain static. The device of the invention can actuate several roller spools simultaneously. <IMAGE>
