PURPOSE:To provide a small-sized thermosiphon in which a decrease in cooling efficiency due to pressure loss of refrigerant is eliminated and a two-phase flow of fluid to be cooled is effectively uniformly distributed. CONSTITUTION:A plate-fin exchanger 50 is internally provided by hermetically passing partition walls 1c internally provided between an inlet 1a and an outlet 1b of fluid to be cooled through a cooling cylinder 1 having a plurality of independent refrigerant tanks 2 partitioned by the walls 1c. Thus, a tube for circulating refrigerant C between the tank 2 and a refrigerant circulation passage 54 of the exchanger 50 is eliminated thereby to obviate a decrease in cooling efficiency due to pressure loss of the refrigerant C. Further, the conduit for fluid to be cooled, for connecting the plurality of the tanks 2, is also eliminated to effectively uniformly distribute two-phase flow of the fluid to be cooled thereby to obviate a decrease in cooling efficiency, and hence a thermosiphon can be reduced in size. |
