PURPOSE:To make efficient sterilization possible by an apparatus wherein a plurality of oscillators generating mechanical oscillation with a frequency being suitable to kill bacteria by actuation of an oscillating means are provided and sterilization of specimens to be sterilized such as agricultural products and feeds being immersed in a liq. is performed by the oscillation. CONSTITUTION:When sterilization of straw bundles is performed, a plurality of receiving oscillators 3 are projected on a base 4 for generating uniformly mechanical oscillation (ultrasonic oscillation) on the straw bundles. An electric signal output by an oscillator 2 is applied on each oscillator 3 to generate an ultrasonic wave with a frequency (15-20kHz) being suitable for killing bacteria. The base 4 is supported through an arm 5 so as to be freely movable in the horizontal and elevating directions and a plurality of oscillators 3 are inserted into the straw bundles like forks to perform sterilization treatment. This sterilization treatment is performed under a condition where the straw bundles are immersed in a water tank to sterilize efficiently not only bacteria adhered on the surface of the straw but bacteria existing in the straw. |
