发明名称 INHIBITOR FOR BULKING PHENOMENON OF ACTIVATED SLUDGE
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To destroy specific filamentous bacteria in order to prevent the occurrence of bulking phenomenon of activated sludge resulting therefrom by a method wherein methylenedithiocyanate is incorporated as an effective component in an inhibitor for the bulking phenomenon of the activated sludge caused by at least one kind of the filamentous bacteria. CONSTITUTION:The inhibitor for the bulking phenomenon of activated sludge caused by at least one kind of filamentous bacteria contains methylene dithiocyanate as an effective component. The method of preventing the occurrence of the bulking phenomenon of the activated sludge features adding to the activated sludge an amount, per day, of the methylene dithiocyanate equivalent to 0.01-10 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of its dry solid content in the original powder or solution form or the form of the powder dispersed in or the solution diluted with solvent such as water in order to decrease the filamentous bacteria until the SVI value is lowered. By applying the inhibitor for about 2-4 days within the range of the aforesaid amount, the population of the filamentous bacteria is reduced to recover the sedimentating function of the activated sludge.</p>
