PURPOSE:To miniaturize an optical pickup so as to be incorporated into a set gradually lightened, thinned and shortened. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser chip 1 and a light-receiving chip 4 are provided, and the semiconductor laser chip 1 is fixed onto the side face of the light-receiving chip 4 by using hard solder 10 while a surface on the reverse side to the light-receiving chip 4 side of the semiconductor laser chip 1 is fastened onto a Cu block 6a unified with a stem 6 by using soft solder 10. A hologram optical element 9 is mounted on an outgoing window, and a photo- detector 2 for monitor and a photo-detector 3 for detecting a signal are formed onto the photo-detector chip 4. |
