<p>A method of preserving spores of a VA mycorrhizal fungus, characterized by using a support having a grain diameter of less than 2 mm and mainly comprising at least either fired attapulgite or fired montmorillonite, and either by keeping the moisture content of a VA mycorrhizal fungus preparation comprising the spores and the support within the range of 5-30 wt. % or by preserving the preparation in an atmosphere containing oxygen in a concentration of less than 20 vol. %. According to the first aspect of the invention, the spores can be stably preserved for long readily at a low cost at ordinary temperature while retaining the activity. According to the second aspect of the invention, the spores can be preserved even at ordinary temperature for long while retaining the activity.</p> |
