The switch comprises an encapsulated switch mechanism (7) and an associated operating drive (4) having a drive element coupled to the switch rod via an insulating coupling element (5). The insulating drive, housing (1) has respective chambers (9, 10, 42) for locating the drive, the coupling element and the switch mechanism, each of which is positioned via integral ribs provided by the housing.The coupling element has a guide part (51) cooperating with ribs or grooves provided by the housing wall and a deflection element (54) cooperating with a resetting spring.
