Date Mar. 26, 1987.The invention relates to a radiation protection filter for skin pigmentation during solar irradiation. The light transmittance of the radiation protection filter in the wavelength range between 380 and 780 nm is such that, when the radiation protection filter is used, the amount of radiation that penetrates the eye lens in the 340 to 400 nm range is, at the very most, that amount which would penetrate the eye lens when the radiation protection filter is not used. Radiation-caused eye damage is thus prevented.
