INORGANIC POWDER AND CURABLE INORGANIC COMPOSITION

PURPOSE:To form a curable inorganic composition by mixing an inorganic powder obtained by spraying a fused fly ask with aq. solution of an alkali metal hydroxide or aq. solution an alkali metal silicate by a specific weight ratio. CONSTITUTION:The fly ash fused at 500-16000 deg.C is sprayed into a gas at 30-800m/sec spraying rate to obtain a high whiteness amorphous inorganic powder containing >=80wt.% (hereafter %) powder <=10mum in particle diameter and 5-100m<2>/g in specific surface area. Next, 100 pts.wt. inorganic powder (hereafter pts.) is mixed with 10-300 pts. the >=1% aq. solution of alkali metal hydroxide or >=1% aq. solution of alkali metal silicate to obtain the curable inorganic composition. An inorganic hardened body is formed by pouring the curable inorganic composition into a prescribed molding flask and heating to cure.
