发明名称 MAGNETIC METAL MATERIAL FOR MAGNETO-OPTICAL DISK
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a high density sintered compact free from cavity and crack by previously forming metal components forming a magnetic layer of a magneto-optical disk into a metal powder of eutectic structure, mixing it with another metal powder forming desired composition, and then sintering the resulting powder mixture. CONSTITUTION:The eutectic composition of terbium (Tb) and iron (Fe) is Tb72at%-Fe28at% from the equilibrium diagram of both. Tb and Fe, both 99.9% purity, are blended, melted, alloyed, and formed into a powder of eutectic structure. On the other hand, an easily crushing alloy, where Tb:Fe=2:17(atomic%), is pulverized. These powders are mixed and formed into the desired atomic ratio composition, Tb:Fe=1:3. By performing sintering at about 1000 deg.C by using this mixed powder, the high grade sintered compact improved in reaction with punch and die and free from crack can be obtained.
