PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize high-precision positioning of a portable electronic device even under environments in which wireless positioning means such as a satellite positioning system (SPS) cannot provide sufficient positioning precision.SOLUTION: The positioning precision of a portable electronic device is improved by allowing location, navigation, and/or other like information and/or services to be provided to a user on the basis, at least in part, of sensory input information corresponding one or more visible environmental features comprising human-readable information which are near the user of the portable electronic device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
