MAGNETICALLY COUPLED CENTRIFUGAL PUMP

PURPOSE: To provide a centrifugal pump that is magnetically coupled with a rotation driving mechanism and has a sealing diaphragm between driving magnet and driven magnet. CONSTITUTION: A pump housing 1 has an axial inlet 2, a pump chamber 3 and an outlet 4, and they are communicated with each other by a passage extendingly penetrating the pump housing. An annular flange 6 surrounds the pump housing. The flange is so constituted that it receives a diaphragm 7 and a support ring 8. As the sealing ring serves to prevent the liquid from leaking to atmosphere, the pump is not sealed. A seal gasket 14 is between the sealing diaphragm 7 and the annular flange 6. The support ring 8 is mounted on the circular flange 6 with plural bolts 9. A motor support frame 16 is mounted on the support ring 8.
