PURPOSE:To suppress the reduction of the temp. of molten steel while retaining the characteristics of alumina-spinel castable refractories excellent in slag resistance by using Al2O3-MgO spinel clinker not contg. periclase crystals as a refractory material. CONSTITUTION:The objective alumina-spinel castable refractories consist of 100 pts.wt. refractory material contg. >=4 pts.wt. SiO2 and 2-25 pts.wt. binder. The refractory material consists of 10-70 pts.wt. Al2O3-MgO spinel clinker having 1.6-2.8 bulk specific gravity and not contg. periclase crystals and 30-90 pts.wt. alumina stock. |
