PURPOSE:To provide a system which is capable of performing an image extraction processing without using an exclusive processor for image processing and with using a simple program. CONSTITUTION:In a device where image data is converted into a digital signal and an arbitrary image edition processing is performed, this system is an image extraction system provided with an image memory 1 storing the image of a digital signal form every frame, an edge extraction means 4 analyzing each picture element of image data and discriminating whether it is the picture element of an edge part, and an image area extraction means 5 analyzing image data to be divided into plural areas by an edge and discriminating the area to which each picture element belongs. |
