The tibial component (20), designed to be fitted to the upper end of the tibia after resection along two perpendicular planes, is cylindrical in shape with a semi-ovoid base bounded by a flat lateral surface (23) which fits against the vertical resection surface.The underside of the component has a series of concentric grooves (221) which also emerge on the lateral surface (23) and are designed to promote the adhesion of fixing cement to the two surfaces.
