PURPOSE:To reduce the load of an operator and to enable the changeover with conventional paging function, in such a case that the paging of continuous printing is desired to be performed by starting the value of the first page of each document from 1, by automatically returning the value of the first page to 1 when printing is transferred to the next document to perform paging. CONSTITUTION:Number-of-document and start page counters are initialized to set a document (S21) and 1 is set to a paging function flag Frg 0 and 0 is set to a paging function flag Frg 1 to initialize the page counter (S24). Document data is read from a storage device to be set to a memory (S25). When a number-of-page counter value is smaller than a start page register value, no paging is performed but, when the number-of-page counter value is larger than the start page register value, the printing of document data and paging are performed and a number-of-page counter is made incremental (S26). When a printed page is not a final page, the step (S25) is again employed. When a number-of-document counter value is smaller than a register value in the final page, the number-of-document counter is made incremental to return to Frg0 (S29) and, when the counter value is larger than the register value, the printing of all of documents is completed. |
