PURPOSE:To enable gradation expression in the dot unit of a printer and to perform printing with high color resolving power by changing the density of the ink emitted from an emission part by mixing ink containing no pigment with the emitted ink. CONSTITUTION:An ink emitting part 1b is formed to the front of an ink sump 1a. A first supply part 2 supplying usual ink and a second supply part 3 supplying pigment free ink are provided to a printing head 1 and, on the basis of the supply amts. of both inks, the density of ink is adjusted. When the density of the ink when no pigment free ink is used is set to 100% and ink with density of (d)% is prepared, the valve of the pigment-containing ink from the first supply part 2 is opened only for dXT/100sec and, at the same time, the valve of the pigment free ink from the second supply part 3 is opened only for (100-d)XT/100sec to dilute ink. |
