PURPOSE:To obtain a film excellent in productivity, travelling properties, transparency, etc., by incorporating a specified amt. of alumina particles having specified average primary particle size, crystal state, and average degree of agglomeration into the film. CONSTITUTION:A specified amt. of alumina particles having an average primary particle size of 5-200nm and a crystal state selected from alpha, chi, eta, and theta types are mixed with a diol component for producing a polyester to form a slurry, which is heated to cause agglomeration of the particles, and used for producing a polyester by the usual method. The polyester is formed into a film and biaxially oriented to give the film contg. 0.05-5wt.% alumina particles with an average degree of agglomeration of 5-100. The obtd. film is resistance to scratch even in high-speed processing and is free from trouble due to scratching. |
