<p>PURPOSE:To give an alarm that the residual capacity is reduced to a driver by making the auxiliary steering force fed from an electric power steering device different from that by that time, when the residual capacity of a battery power source for running is reduced. And to reduce the power consumption by reducing the auxiliary steering force when the residual capacity is reduced. CONSTITUTION:An electric motor control signal generating means 5A generates an electric motor control signal TK to generate an auxiliary steering force depending on the detecting outputs 2a and 3a of a steering torque detecting means 2 and a steering rotating direction detecting means 3. The residual capacity of a battery power source for running is detected by a running power source residual capacity detecting means 4, and depending on the detecting signal 4a, an auxiliary steering force correcting means 5B corrects the electric motor control signal TK and feeds a corrected control signal TH to an electric motor driving means 6. The auxiliary steering force correcting means 5B corrects the auxiliary steering force to the reducing side corresponding to the reduction of the residual capacity.</p> |
