PURPOSE:To provide a bonded magnet with excellent magnetic characteristics and repeatability in molding, by using a binder made of an epoxy resin having a specific thixotropic index. CONSTITUTION:While 2-17-samarium-cobalt powder is sharply stirred, a chemical of titanate coupling dissolved in a small quantity of acetone is added, and warmed by heating. After an epoxy resin of one-liquid type having a thixotropic index of 1.2 or more is added thereto at a room temperature (20 deg.C), they are mixed by stirring sufficiently. Then, the mixture is compressed using a compression molding machine to obtain a molded form. The amount of binder is 1 to 5wt.%, preferably 1.5 to 3.0wt.%, of the magnetic powder. In this way, not only magnetic characteristics but stability in dimensions during continuous molding can be remarkably improved. |
