The pump has a slide face (10), which is adjustable in movement direction of the control slide (11), dependent upon the control pressure. A recess (21) in the control slide connects the working chamber (27) of the servo piston (1) to the pressure source, and is in turn connected via a passage (22) in the slide face to the chamber (8), which is subject to pressure from the source.One end surface (13) of the slide face is charged by the control pressure against the force of a spring (16). The slide face is formed by a hollow cylinder, which surrounds the cylindrical control slide. The slide moves in an axial bore (9) of the control piston.
