PURPOSE:To provide an automobile grass run which facilitates the work of mounting a glass sliding member on a glass run main body and facilitates the manufacture of the glass sliding member. CONSTITUTION:An automobile glass run has a glass run main body 22 of large, approximately U-cross section mounted on the opening peripheral edge of a window and a glass sliding member 23 of a low friction coefficient against which the end face 4b of a vertically moving window panel 4 mounted on the bottom surface portion 22a of the glass run main body 22 slides. The peripheral edge of the window panel 4 is inserted into the large, approximately U-cross section of the glass run main body 22 and a seal lip portion 22c with which the side face 4a of the window panel 4 makes sliding contact is formed in the main body 22, and a longitudinally extending mounting groove 22d in which the glass sliding member 23 is mounted is formed in the bottom surface portion 22a, and the glass sliding portion 23 is formed by extrusion molding and has an engagement portion 23a formed therein for engagement in the mounting groove 22d. |
