The arrangement contains a guide element (12) which is immersed in the liquid in the container and parallel resistance paths (19) on the guide and connected to a display unit. A float (34) moving wrt. the guide element depending on the level has a slip contact sliding in contact with the resistance tracks.The guide element consists of a non-conducting shaped rod attached to the container opening via a flange. The resistance tracks are mounted on the rod with a 180 deg. offset with their ends connected to a connector head.
