The wt. ratio of the soln. of (II) to (I) is 1 or less. (II) is Na or K methylsiliconate. The wt. ratio of the soln. of (II) to (I) is 0.5-1. The soln. has a MeSiO3/2 content of 0.5-5 (esp. 1-3) wt. %. The reaction temp. is 20-80 (esp. 30-60) deg. C. The pH after the reaction is at least 4.
