<p>PURPOSE:To provide a development method whereby a uniformly thin layer of toner is obtained on a development roller and sufficient development performance is obtained even with nonmagnetic toner of a small particle diameter, in a noncontact type nonmagnetic one-component development system. CONSTITUTION:In the noncontact type nonmagnetic one-component development method, the nonmagnetic toner 3 is supplied to the development roller 5, a thin layer of the nonmagnetic toner 3 is formed on the surface of the development roller 5 by a layer control member 4 and also charges are applied thereto, the nonmagnetic toner 3 is caused to fly by a potential difference between the photosensitive drum 1 and the development roller 5, thereby developing an electrostatic latent image without the contact of the roller with the photosensitive drum 1 holdling the electrostatic latent image, and then transfer is carried out on a transfer material. The nonmagnetic toner is produced by a suspension polymerization method.</p> |
