PURPOSE: To provide an electrophoretic apparatus for performing electrophoretic analysis of a liquid sample automatically. CONSTITUTION: The electrophoretic apparatus 10 comprises an automatic crane 30 moving longitudinally between a sample plate unit 14 and an electrophoretic chamber 13, and a scanning box 100 having a side wall 106, an inlet wall 102 and a rear wall. The scanning box 100 is provided with a slot 104 on the front side thereof and isolated by mounting a door. A cover 92 slides in the longitudinal direction in order to open/close the electrophoretic chamber 13. Fluorescent lamps 110A-D are fixed to the ceiling part of the scanning box 100 in order to irradiate a supporting medium 12 with fluorescent light when scanning is performed by means of a system comprising a camera 114 and a lens 112 controlled by a computer. |
