<p>PURPOSE:To allow a tape to stop accurately at the position to be stopped and to reduce the take-up time in a short low speed running section at the time of tape take-up by controlling the low speed running with a speed reference signal. CONSTITUTION:The speed signal corresponding to the running speed of a magnetic tape 1 is generated by a running detection means 7 and compared with the reference signal produced in a speed reference signal generating means 8 by a running drive means 10, then the rotational speed of a feeding reel 2 is controlled in accordance with the difference. In the tape take-up device constituted in such a manner, a trial low speed running section is set at first to perform the trial running, and the low speed running state is calculated by a control means 9 based on the running signal detected by the running detection means 7. The calculated value is compared with the value in the target low speed running section which is set beforehand, then the optimum deceleration starting position to start the speed reduction is decided. Thus, the optimum low speed section is set, and the take-up processing time is reduced.</p> |
