Cable entry mfg. system for inductive sensor housing

The cable entry is provided by attaching each wire end of the multi-wire cable (17) to a contact plate (16) with an insulating cuff (5) formed around the attachment zone, the contact plates and the cable projecting from opposite ends of the cuff. The latter is then enclosed by the insulating material of the inductive sensor housing (1).The contact plates are provided in pairs joined together by a bridging section from an integral sheet metal stamping. The wire ends received by a mould which is filled with an insulating plastics for formation of the cuff. A space is left in the vicinity of the bridging section allowing insertion of a tool for separation of the latter.
