摘要 Glide sailing is a type of sailing in which the sail and the sailor move on their own separate base. The sail glides on its own base 1 in front of the sailor, who steers and controls the sail by means of a control belt 2, which goes from the sail by way of the sailor and back to the sail. As the sail pulls the sailor, so the sailor endeavours with the full weight of his body and with the aid of the belt (which passes over the sailor's shoulders) to prevent the sail heeling over in the direction of the wind. In a wing-shaped sail there is glide equipment at both ends, from which it follows that the sail at all times glides supported on either of the ends, or the sail may also be entirely in the air and still acting as a driving element. The wing halves are at a sharp leading angle 3, behind which the upper part of the sail is more upright than the lower part, which partially glides in front of the sailor. The method of sailing can be applied on snow, on ice, on hard ground and on water wherever any form of sailing can be practised. Equipment is selected as base for the sail and as means of transport for the sailor according to the specific sailing conditions. <IMAGE>
