PURPOSE:To eliminate troubles of discoloring, fading, etc., due to contact with light, water or oil, etc., improve fastness resistance of a coloring image, and long-term preservation or the like of a document by a method wherein a developer for pressure sensitive copying paper is composed by using a compound which is polymerized and colored as it comes in contact with the developer. CONSTITUTION:A color coupler for pressure sensitive copying paper is composed of a compound (I) which is polymerized and colored by contact with a developer. Then the compound (I) is a complex five-membered ring compound (Ia) having two double bonds in the ring. Further, the compound (Ia) is a compound (Ia1) having at least one furan ring in a molecule. Furthermore, the compound (Ia1) is at least one kind selected from a group consisting of a furfuryl ether compound, a furfuryl ester compound, a furfuryl urethane compound, etc. Alternately, the compound (Ia1) is at least one kind selected from a group consisting of furfuryl acetate, methylene-bis (oxyfurfuryl), and furfuryl hexamethylene carbamate. |
