The subject of the present invention is a device for the continuous production of polymer foam blocks of rectangular cross-section, comprising a U-shaped conveyor consisting of a bottom 2, movable walls 5 and movable side walls 24 which perform an obliquely rising movement substantially parallel to the curve described by the top of the expanding foam, characterised in that: - the said movement progressively bends over at the end of expansion until becoming parallel to the movement of the said conveyor; - the said movable wall 24 moves longitudinally along the conveyor without it being necessary to alter the initial geometry of the device; - the said geometry can, on the contrary, be altered during the operation, according to the requirements of the production.
