PURPOSE:To provide an electric insulating material having performance appropriate for medical equipment, of which quality is not changed by the contact with the drug for a long time and which does not change the quality of the medicine, and for electronic parts processing equipment, which is hard to be influenced by the treatment liquid and appropriate for the high temperature processing, and for a high frequency circuit board having a low dielectric constant and a low dielectric tangent. CONSTITUTION:Cyclopentene monomer such as 4,7-methano3a,4,5,6,7,7a- hexahydro-1H-indene at 35 to 100wt.% and alpha-olefine monomer such as ethylene at 65 to 0wt.% are (co)polymerized to form a cyclopenten polymer. The cyclopentene polymer having the limiting viscosity [eta] at 0.1 to 10dl>=/g measured in toluene at 25 deg.C is used for medical equipment, electronic parts processing equipment or electric insulating material. The excellent performance is showed in each application. |
