PURPOSE:To enable to peruse the contents of a message in a message communication processing system by retrieving a receiving person on a local area network by a retrieving means on the basis of appending information added to the received message, and transferring the contents of the message to the receiving person. CONSTITUTION:The message is received by a CPU 2 through a first interface board 5 connected to a wide area network 4, and the appending information added to the received message is interpreted by the CPU 2, and it is judged whether the contents of the message are a character string corresponding to an IA5 text in the encoding rule of the message communication processing system or not, and if it is the corresponding character string, decoding processing corresponding to the IA5 text is executed for the contents of the message. Further, the CPU 2 judges whether the message is the one addressed to an individual or not on the basis of the appending information, and if it is addressed to the individual, it retrieves a data base 3 in which the information of receiving host computers 61,62 is registered on the local area network 6, and determines the receiving destination of the message. |
