The adaptor is a plastics body with a rounded end which is inserted into on nostril of the nose. A latex balloon can be blown up with the nose through a hole in the adaptor. The balloon is simply attached by its edge bulge sitting in the foot of the edge curb. The other nostril can be held wile the balloon is being blown up. The success of the patient can be seen when the balloon is in its full condition. USE/ADVANTAGE - Used for treating middle ear illnesses. It helps equalise the pressure in the middle ear by increasing the pressure in the nasal-pharyngeal cavity. Even small children can have success using the adapter.
