PURPOSE:To provide an electric motor control unit so designed as to enable the cause of its maloperations to be clarified even by a layman and in its turn shorten the time to restore such abnormalities and reduce operational losses. CONSTITUTION:The control unit can be obtained by equipping (A) a conventional electric motor control unit to control the speed of an electric motor based on the standard speed of a speed setting device and the detected speed of the electric motor with (B) a speed variation sensor 12 to determine whether such speed variation is simply that of the electric motor or that involving the change in the standard speed, (C) a data analyzer 13 to determine, in case the determination in B represents the former, whether the cause of the speed variation is abnormalities on machine side or on the electric motor control unit side in light of the machine side data having been stored through taking electric data necessary for clarifying the cause, and (D) a display 15 to give the results from the data analyzer 13. |
