PURPOSE:To provide a vehicle containing a maltitol difatty acid ester as the main film component, capable of ready production at low cost, excellent in stability, useful in the fields of medicine, cosmetic and food and suitable for a vehicle preparation such as a microcapsule. CONSTITUTION:Maltitol is dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide and a fatty acid ester such as methyl stearate and potassium carbonate are added thereto with stirring. The resultant mixture is allowed to react at 90 deg.C under 35mmHg for 2hr and the obtained reaction product is purified through silica gel chromatography to obtain a maltitol difatty acid ester. This compound as a vehicle forming agent is added to 2wt.% aqueous arbutin solution, sufficiently swollen at 70 deg.C, treated with Polytlon(R), etc., for 1min and immediately cooled to 25 deg.C. Thereby, an arbutin-including vehicle is prepared followed by get filtration treatment for purification. Thus, the stable vehicle composed of a microcapsule, etc., useful in the fields of medicine, cosmetic, food, etc., can be readily produced at low cost. |
