PURPOSE:To provide an air bag whose storability is improved while whose pressure-proof strength maintained without changing the dimensions. CONSTITUTION:A disk-shaped reinforcing cloth 3 is laminated, at least, on one side of the face surface and the rear surface of the base cloth at the periphery of an inflator mounting hole 2, and sewn thereto by using a sewing machine or the like. The part 5 to be sewn by the sewing machine or the like is sewn concentrically to the inflator mounting hole 2 in a zig-zag and continuous manner in the radial and circumferential direction by using the 66 nylon thread of 840 denir or 1260 denir. Thus, the zig-zag sewing in the circumferential direction of the part 5 to be sewn of the reinforcing cloth 3 allows the pressure-proof strength to be sufficiently maintained in compliance with the standards in comparison with the conventional sewing in the circumferential direction even when the cloth made of fine thread is used, and also allows the strength to be successively reduced outward from the side of the inflator mounting hole 2. |
