PURPOSE:To connect paths at the time of starting and facilitate the starting of the engine, by connecting compression spaces by means of a path provided with an electromagnetic valve, in a gas engine having a plurality of cylinders with each phase of pressure variation deviated by a fixed angle. CONSTITUTION:In a Starling engine consisting of a plurality of cylinders having compression spaces 3a, 3b, and expansion spaces 13a, 13b; coolers 21a, 21b, and heat accumulators 22a, 22b are provided between compression and expansion spaces 3a, 13a, 3b, 13b. The operation of each cylinder is transmitted to prime mover 8. Compression spaces 3a and 3b are connected by means of path 10 having valve 31, which is opened or closed electromagnetically or by hand. In starting the engine, the driving of pistons 2a, 2b is facilitated by opening valve 31 and connecting compression spaces 3a, 3b. |
