PURPOSE:To prevent abrupt variation of braking force at the time of switching between regenerative brake and hydraulic brake by matching transient characteristics thereof. CONSTITUTION:Driving wheels Wr coupled with a motor 2 can be braked through both regenerative brake and hydraulic brake. When switching is made from regenerative brake to hydraulic brake, for example, generation of hydraulic braking force is suspended for a predetermined time counted by a counter and after expiration of timer it is increased gradually through filtering of first order time-lag. This constitution matches low response regenerative braking force decreasing characteristics with hydraulic braking force increasing characteristics thus preventing degradation of brake feeling due to abrupt variation of braking force.
