摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To constitute a transmission path for an SDH signal even by using a repeater system which terminates an R-SOH by transferring the F1 byte of plural STM signals before being multiplexed only by the F1 byte of the multiplexed STM signal. CONSTITUTION:A multiplex intermediate repeater system 1 receives four STM-1 signals from a transmitting station, uses the contents of the Fl byte as A-D, multiplexes the STM-1 signals into a STM-4 signal by terminating the R-SOH of the STM-1 signals, and successively transmits a multiframe and the contents A-D by the F1 byte of the STM-4 signals in each frame. A repeater system 2 transfers the F1 byte of the STM-4 signal as it is, and a multiplex intermediate repeater system 3 at a reception terminal station side obtains the multiframe synchronization of the F1 byte from the received STM-4 signal, and operates the mapping of the F1 byte of the STM-4 signal to the F1 byte of the successively separated STM-1 signals corresponding to the multiframe synchronization.</p>
